Do you know that💡our skin loses 300–400mL of water each day?
That is referred to as transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Nearly half a liter of water passively evaporates through our skin to the external environment due to water vapor pressure gradient on both sides of the skin barrier.
And what happens when there's less moisture in the skin? It feels dry and tight, and looks sort of flaky. To prevent this from happening, I regularly use face and body moisturizers.
The face moisturizer I absolutely love at the moment is Lumene Nordic-C Glow Reveal.
What’s In Lumene Nordic-C Glow Reveal
Ingredients with hydrating properties
- Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil - a.k.a. sweet almond oil. Due to its emollient properties, almond oil has the potential to improve both complexion and skin tone. It has been used for centuries to treat dry skin conditions.
- Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil - a.k.a. jojoba oil. It can be comedogenic for some, but is overall an effective moisturizer.
- Dimethicone - a type of silicone. Its gentleness and effectiveness, makes it one of the most frequently used emollient ingredients in moisturizers. When applied to the skin, dimethicone forms a barrier that prevents moisture loss and provides a wonderfully silky feel.
- Propanediol - a glycol. It enhances the absorption of ingredients into the skin. It has hydrating properties that may leave a smooth, dewy finish.
- Glycerin - a real superstar in helping maintain the healthy state of our skin. It keeps the skin lipids between our skin cells in a healthy state, protects against irritation and helps to restore the skin barrier. Glycerin is a natural moisturizer that’s also in the outermost layer of our skin.
- Cetearyl Alcohol - a fatty alcohol. It doesn't pose a risk of sensitizing skin. Cetearyl Alcohol is commonly used as an emollient and texture enhancer.
- Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil - Sunflower Seed Oil
Plant extracts from Cloudberry
- Rubus Chamaemorus Fruit Extract
- Rubus Chamaemorus Seed Oil
- Rubus Chamaemorus Seed Extract
Cloudberry is packed with Vitamin C. It contains twice as much Vitamin C than equivalent weight of oranges. It helps to brighten and energize dull complexions, as well as protect the skin and eye area from signs of aging.
Antioxidant Ingredients
- Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate - a non-irritating, stable derivative of vitamin C.
- Niacinamide - also known as vitamin B3. Niacinamide has the ability to visibly improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness, and enlarged pores.
- Tocopheryl Acetate - a chemical compound that consists of acetic acid and tocopherol.
- Tocopherol - a class of naturally occurring chemical compounds related to Vitamin E.
- Ascorbyl Palmitate - a stable and nonacidic form of vitamin C that is effective as an antioxidant. It is also particularly effective at reducing environmental damage.

Lumene Glow Reveal is so lightweight, it doesn't leave a greasy residue – even on combination skin.
Fragrance
It has such an energizing, refreshing citrus scent.
How To Use It
After cleansing the face, grab a spatula, scoop small amount of the moisturizer and massage on your face and neck.
Personal Opinion
Glow Reveal Moisturizer leaves my skin feel plumper, smoother, and super moisturized with no greasy residue. I use it as my daily moisturizer under my makeup. My makeup applies smoothly over it with no “pilling” effect.
Packaging
Glow Reveal Moisturizer comes in a recyclable plastic jar. It’s easy to get every last bit out of the jar. Apply only using a spatula. You don't want to transfer bacteria to the jar. The aluminium foil seal and the outer box are also made out of recyclable materials.
